OVERVIEW
In anticipation of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Nike launched Toma El Juego — a global series of street football tournaments celebrating self-expression, community, and the culture at the heart of the game. The Seoul activation brought together pro footballers, local legends, DJs, and creators for an electrifying day of futsal, fashion, and electric energy. Leaning into Nike’s Scary Good campaign aesthetic, the content was designed to feel audacious, bold, and tactile — visuals that hit you in your bones and keep you on the edge of the action.
OBJECTIVE
Nike’s vision was to create content that captured the performance, style, and culture driving the next generation of football in Seoul — celebrating speed, creativity, individuality, and community through a raw, energetic lens. Delivered in real time for social channels, the campaign aimed to connect with a global audience through an authentic, spontaneous, on-the-ground lens, pulling the viewer directly into the experience of the event.
CREATIVE APPROACH
As lead DP for the Happy Monday production team, Chris was tasked with translating the energy of Seoul’s street football scene into a visceral, cinematic experience. Having played soccer his entire life, and with a keen sense of dynamic camerawork, Chris approached the shoot from the inside out — moving fluidly around the play to capture motion that felt both chaotic and intentional. His creative goal was to make the viewer feel as if they were the ball — fully immersed in every pass, tackle, and strike. Using a mix of ultra-wide and compact primes, Chris weaved in and out of the action, to capture the grit, beauty, and chaos that define the beautiful game. The result is an unfiltered look at football in the heart of Seoul — and the raw intensity, swagger, and unity that define Nike Football.
