OVERVIEW
Director Andre LaDon brought Chris on as Director of Photography for a collaboration between The Lion King legend Lebo M. and world-renowned composer Hans Zimmer, as part of the global Hans Zimmer Live tour.

OBJECTIVE
The short social film was created to build anticipation for the duo’s upcoming performance in Cape Town, South Africa—Lebo M’s home country and the first time the two would share a stage there. The story follows Lebo M’s arrival in New York, his return to the iconic Lion King Theater in Times Square, and his performance alongside Hans Zimmer at the Barclays Center.

CREATIVE APPROACH
As A-Cam operator, Chris focused on capturing Lebo M’s movements through the city and the emotional energy leading up to the concert. Blending handheld documentary work with polished concert visuals, the piece balances intimacy and spectacle—bridging New York and Cape Town through music, legacy, and homecoming.
