OVERVIEW
VALR Energy, an up and coming functional beverage brand, recently launched its nitrogen-infused, natural juice-based energy drink at select Shoprite locations across New York and New Jersey. The campaign aimed to highlight VALR’s presence in retail stores while showcasing its clean, balanced energy designed for athletes and active lifestyles.

OBJECTIVE
The goal was to produce a short, energetic social video announcing the retail launch and aligning VALR’s brand with real, everyday athletes in motion. The creative direction centered on an authentic story — two runners meeting outside a Brooklyn Shoprite, fueling up with VALR before setting off on a dusk run through the city towards Prospect Park.

CREATIVE APPROACH
Working closely with producer and talent Julia Meyers, Chris helped to develop the concept, shotlist, and moodboard for the campaign. Shooting solo to maximize agility, he ran alongside the athletes through the gritty, kinetic landscape of Brooklyn, capturing a sense of movement, speed, and urban realism. Chris paired smooth gimbal techniques with a handheld, dynamic camera style, to immerse the viewer directly into the rhythm of the run — blending product, place, and performance into a tight, visceral piece that brought VALR’s launch to life.
