OVERVIEW
 In 2025, DeForge Maritime launched a complete revamp of its website, reflecting the company’s rapid growth and expansion since its initial collaboration with Yerba Studios in 2023. As part of this update, DeForge commissioned a new “Our Story” video to showcase the evolution of the company — from the addition of new hires and young faces across the team to the large-scale international jobs the company had executed over the past two years. The DeForge of Tomorrow highlights the company’s operational capacity, culture, and ethos while positioning it as a forward-looking leader in the maritime industry.

OBJECTIVE
The goal of the project was to create a flagship video for DeForge’s new website that highlights the growth and scale of the company since 2023, showcases the new team members and emerging talent, demonstrates the company’s capacity for large international projects, reinforces DeForge’s brand identity as a down-to-earth yet highly capable and ambitious maritime operator, and serves as a central storytelling asset for web visitors, potential clients, and prospective employees.

CREATIVE APPROACH
Chris directed, produced, shot and edited the entire documentary -  The DeForge of Tomorrow, overseeing the project from concept to final delivery. The video combines cinematic drone footage, handheld sequences, and on-site action shots of tugboats and crews in motion to communicate the scale and agility of DeForge’s operations. Interviews and candid moments with team members were incorporated to highlight the growing team and evolving culture.

The video was designed to be energetic, polished, and immersive, reflecting both the heritage of the company and its ambitious future. By balancing large-scale operational visuals with human-centered storytelling, Chris created a compelling narrative that not only showcases DeForge’s expanded capabilities but also emphasizes the heart, grit, and community values that define the company.
